Obituary of Roman Ahsanov

Roman Ahsanov, 59, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on August 15, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at Decker Funeral Home on August 18, 2024 at 1200 with Rabbi Zoe B Zak of Temple Israel of Catskill officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Hunter, NY. Decker Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Roman was born in Ilovaisk, Ukraine to Felix and Valentina Akhsanov on June 27, 1965. He went on to earn a degree in Biology from Leningrad Institute of Agriculture.  He worked as a computer programmer and project manager for Brown & Brown for seven years.  He enjoyed skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking, and gardening. He was actively involved in the Professional Ski Instructor Association.
Roman is survived by his wife, Alona, two daughters, Daria and Stefani.  Memorial donations may be made to Temple Israel of Catskill, Temple Israel of Catskill at 220 Spring Street, Catskill, NY 12414.
