I am so sorry to have learned only now of Charlie's passing, as I'm off the mountain for a bit. He was always up for a chat and a joke when I stopped by to discuss my proposed septic redo, and he'd talk about the family, particularly his lovely wife. A smart and natural guy, as far as I could see, he was also a kind man, and didn't let his tough exterior get in the way of helping others. With sadness, I offer condolences to his family and many friends. Sharon Sullivan

Charlie accomplished so much in his life. He chose to do many things and did them well. Our family began skiing when our daughter Michelle and son Eric were young. We always had our bindings checked at Ski Windham before the season started. Charlie was usually there, working hard as usual. RIP Charlie and my condolences to his entire family as they mourn and honor their loved one.

Carlie came in my Cafe often. After he would eat he would call me over and say" Beth that is just how mom made it and she couldn't cook eather". LOL. Always had a joke and a smile. RIP Charlie

Charlie, You were the first person I met when I began my ski life at 3 years old. That was 54 years ago. 20 years ago I brought my kids to see you to set them up. You are a great man. I say are and not were because you will always be around us. God bless and May you rest in eternal peace.
Mike Schneider and family.

I was so saddened to hear of Charlie’s sudden passing. He leaves behind so many memories and much kindness. I remember him asking me if he could leave his hat on at Despe’s funeral because Despe wouldn’t recognize him without it. A strong, hard-worker, story-teller (mainly jokes)…and a loving husband. I’m so sorry Linda.
