Brian and I send our deepest sympathy to all the family. He was an extraordinary man. We can honestly say Mr. Want was our best teacher ever! He made Algebra, Geometry and Trig. not only understandable but enjoyable. We would be working on a problem on the board, really concentrating, Mr. Want swinging his ubiquitous T square, when he'd turn from the problem on the board with that twinkle in his eye and say "did you hear the one about . . .and proceed with a joke. But when that joke was over, it was right back to work, usually signaled by a vigorous swat with the T square on a desk that made all of us jump out of our seats! Followed by that big smile of his. We could recount hundreds of like stories but suffice it to say, Mr. Wank was a very influential teacher who impacted our lives in very profound and lasting ways. And we are grateful for his influence and example.
