Beth, my heart goes out to you. I worked with Tom and Rosemont and Ruffner. He was such a wonderful man. I have missed him since you moved to New York, but I know how happy he was there. I think the two of you and your puppies every time I look at the picture you gave me from one of your trips when I kept the pups. . You are in my prayers daily.

My deepest sympathy to his wife and mother, Lucille. My first memory of Tom was when he came to our Church. As time went on I found out he was Wyn Bailey's gr. grandson who was our neighbor in Lexington and also had a store in days gone by. Occassionally I would see Tom in Great American and we.always chatted a bit. Always had the nicest smile.Appeared to me as a kind and gentle man. Did get to share some memories of his gr. grandfather and my father.

If it wasn't for his love for the school kids my daughter Heather would never had graduated. He was her mentor for the wise program at HTC and this is what she did. With his guiding hands. He has made the biggest impression on her. I will be forever grateful to him for his kindness to my daughter Heather.

My condolences to the family. My name is Sheila Saunders and I worked with Tom at Rosemont Middle and at Norview Middle. We spent many hours together. He was such a kindhearted man who loved his wife, family, and dogs very much. I am a better person for knowing him and have missed him immensely since he left Virginia. Before he left in 2015, a few of his colleagues gathered to say goodbye. It was a wonderful evening. I have attached a photo of those who were present. My thoughts and prayers go out to Beth and his family. God Bless!

My heartfelt condolences go out to Beth & the family. I met Tom while working at our local Great American as a cashier. He was always very quiet & kind. Always having a beautiful smile & that caring & encouraging way for everyone! He cared for everyone & also cared what people thought of him! He definitely made the world a better place & left his Mark! R.I.P. Tom & I’ll always think of you fondly & remember that smile! God bless & comfort Beth & family!

My condolences to the entire family for giving us such a beautiful gentleman inside and out. Tom was a dedicated professional who made the difference in so many lives--- especially mine--- first as a fellow educator and then a close and amazing friend. We spent a great deal of great times together, and he always tried to help me in every way possible from being there when I was ill to building a lighthouse for my beach property where we enjoyed many great week-ends together. No matter what he had an incredible sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. We enjoyed many meals together with Beth, and he loved to cook. His mother-in-law was also responsible for some great meals, and whenever I was with them, it was like being with family and a fun and inspiring event. Old Buddy I will miss you sooooo much and life will never be quite the same. I have long told you that you were truly the brother to me that I never had, and thus my tribute to you is the Hollies song He Ain't Heavy--- He's My Brother and what an amazing one you have been, truly helping to enrich my life in many ways. I wish you farewell, but there can never be a goodbye!

So saddened on hearing of Tom’s passing. I taught with Tom at Rosemont Middle and he was a good friend and a dedicated and caring educator. He will certainly be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. May you always have him close to you in your thoughts and memories.
