Obituary of Justin M. McGowan
On June 9th, 2024, a bright ray of light was extinguished, and darkness overtook. Justin McGowan was called home guided on his journey into the light by his beloved Grandfather Robert Thompson (Poppy).

He was known for his amazing bear hugs (the Kodiak attack),his love of knowledgeand reading, debating, his passion for humanity, and his empathy for others. He loved the Lord of the rings, listening to music, writing stories and drawing cartoons, and just being with his friends and family. Most of all he loved taking care of others and making them feel safe and secure. His vibrant personality left a mark on everyone he met. To know him was to love him.
He was a long-time administrator for the Catskill Mountain Foundation and most recently an employee at the Bank of Greene County in Tannersville. During his younger years he was involved in the Drama Club at WAJ and took many journeys with the Science club there.
