Walter was a very kind man with a gentle soul. It was always a pleasure to be around him, I always enjoyed his company. My fondest memories of him are when we were on a cruise together him and I would always be eyeing this huge triple layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting that was on display and you could buy a slice. Everyday him and I would walk by it and say to each other "we should get a slice and split it" well this would go on for 3-4 days then we just couldn't stand it anymore and you guessed it we did it. We got that slice of cake and shared it every time on every cruise that had it. I will never look at another piece of chocolate cake again without thinking of you Walter with a smile on my face. And when it is time for me to come to heaven I will bring a huge triple layer chocolate cake with me for us to share and we will eat the whole thing. My heart is will you Lorraine and all the family. Our deepest condolences to Lorraine and all who loved Walter. Knowing Walter was a pleasure. I never heard am unkind word from him to anyone. I really want to share my fondest memory of Walter and he would expect this from me I'm sure. It was common knowledge that he did not ever and would not ever wear shorts, but low and behold once and I'm serious only once he did and guess who was there with a camera. It was a big joke between us for years I'd always say I was getting ready to send it to the local newspaper and he always ask, OK, Name your price LOL and that was Walter's sense of humor, always up for a good laugh.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him He was a true gentle-man.
RIP dear friend it was a pleasure to know you.
