Obituary of Daniel Ray Crawford

Daniel Ray Crawford passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2024 surrounded by his loving daughters Tina Rothman and Betty Broderick.  

Daniel was born in Punxsutawney, PA to Lois Tyger on August 9, 1944, and spent much of his early years growing up on his grandparents' farm. Dan was later adopted by Frank Crawford and became an older brother to Wesley, whom he loved tremendously. Following a rambunctious childhood, Dan joined the US Navy from 1963 to 1967.  After his proud years of service, Daniel worked tirelessly for ConEdison for almost four decades, including countless hours assisting during searches and the cleanup of 9/11. When not working, Daniel enjoyed spending his time relaxing in the mountains with his wife and several rescue pets. 

Daniel was preceded in death by his previous wives, Kathleen and Anne, as well as his beloved children Dawn and Danny. But he leaves behind several children, stepchildren, grandchildren and a nephew to carry on his legacy. 

A memorial service will be held at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Main Street, Windham, NY on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2-4PM.
