Obituary of Nettie Elizabeth Brink
Nettie Elizabeth (Martin) Brink, aged 93 years, passed away on December 29, 2023. Born at home in Little Westkill, NY on April 28, 1930, she was the daughter of Wardell and Gladys (Loucks) Martin. Nettie married Clayton Brink, Sr on September 16, 1948 and moved to Windham. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Clayton Brink, Sr., a daughter, Donna, a grandson, Christopher, four brothers and two sisters.
Nettie is survived by her son Clayton Brink, Jr, her daughter Brenda (Brink) Bernach, her sisters Shirley Morello and Genevieve Crist, and brother Curtis Martin. Nettie had five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Prior to retirement, Nettie worked at the Windham Art Gallery for 20 years. She was also an election poll worker and an avid quilter belonging to the Patchworkers Quilting Club. In her youth Nettie enjoyed square dancing and later belonged to a bowling league. She was a long time member of the Windham Methodist Church.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to pay respects at Decker Funeral Home, Main Street, Windham on January 10th from 12-2 followed by a gathering at the Methodist Church fellowship hall.
