Edward W. Haines, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2022. He is survived by his daughter Renee Dechene and her husband Richard; grandchildren Ashley Dechene, Kyle Dechene and great-granddaughter Peighton Lawton. Edward was in born in Spruceton, NY to Stewart and Vera Haines and lived in Westkill until his graduation from Hunter-Tannersville Central School. After graduation he went straight into the Air Force where he served 20 years. He later worked for American Thermostat and Bilbee Controls, then taking early retirement. Edward enjoyed being with his family and he loved the mountains he lived in!

Calling hours will be held from 5-8p.m on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Decker Funeral Home 5312 Main Street, Windham, NY. .A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10a.m. Edward will be cremated and put to rest in the Westkill Cemetery.
