Obituary of Jeffrey Allen DuBois
Jeffrey Allen DuBois of Jewett, passed away suddenly at his home on October 22, 2022 at the age of 49. He was born on October 13, 1973 at Catskill Memorial Hospital to Stanley and Marilyn Truesdell Soule. He attended Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School. His work ethic started when he began working on the Truesdell Farm that belonged to his grandparents. He then worked for several years at a landscaping company based in Copake Falls, NY. He also worked for his stepdad Tom Soule doing construction.
Jeffrey was a self employed logger for decades who enjoyed the outdoors immensely. He delivered firewood to many customers in and around the mountaintop. He was always very fair, generous and honest with his numerous customers. Jeffrey loved going to the Boonville Woodsmen's Field Days every August for a week with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, snowmobiling and just being out in nature.
He is survived by his mother Marilyn Soule of Ashland; his sister's Tammy Carman of Unadilla and Diane Pidgeon and her fiance Chris Karamuze of Windham; his brother Steven DuBois and good friend Debbie of Lexington; his stepbrother Tommy Soule and Jackie of Catskill; his stepsister Arlene Rytty of Florida.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, cousins and good friends.
He was predeceased by his father Stanley DuBois and his stepdad Tom Soule who loved him like a son since Jeffrey was 11 years old.
Calling hours will be held at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Main Street, Windham on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2 PM at Lexington United Methodist Church, 54 County Route 13A, Lexington, NY. Interment to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
