Obituary of Mae L. Dunham

Mae L. Dunham, 78, of Prattsville, NY entered eternal peace at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY on Saturday, September 3, 2022 with her family by her side. Mae was born in West Conesville, NY to the late Luella and Etheridge Goodfellow, Sr. Mae attended Gilboa Schools. She married Newcomb J. Dunham, Jr. on December 10, 1960. They were married for 54 years prior to his death in 2015. Mae is survived by her loving children, Teresa Wranovics of Brasher Falls, NY, Newcomb (Colleen) Dunham of Saugerties, NY; Ronald (Brandy) Dunham of Windham, NY; Roy (Michelle) Dunham of Kerhonkson, NY; Randy (Christa) Dunham, of Saugerties, NY and Roger (Lisa) Dunham of Kerhonkson, NY. Mae is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Her brother and sister-in-law, Etheridge (Junior) and Shirley Goodfellow of Ruskin, Florida and Mae’s dear “Aunt Lizzy”, Elizabeth Merwin of Texas, also survive as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mae was a homemaker and caregiver. Her family meant the world to her. Everyone who met Mae instantly loved her. She would strike up a conversation and become your best friend. She had a kind heart and a feisty personality. Mae had a soft spot for all animals and especially loved her cats.

Graveside services will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville, NY on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Friends and family who wish to honor Mae are invited to make a donation in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
