Obituary of Patrick J Kenny
Patrick John Kenny passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, in his home in Prattsville, NY. The world lost a great father, grandfather, friend, and storyteller.
Paddy was born on October 5, 1940, in Queens, NY. He had a great love for sports including golf and skiing. He picked up skiing later in life and fell in love with the Catskills. First with weekend trips and then to house shares for the ski seasons. Eventually finding the house of his dreams, with his beloved late wife Eva Kenny and the rest as they say is history.
Anyone who ever met Paddy will tell you he loved to tell stories of his life adventures. He was a man who made friends and connections wherever he went. He enjoyed every moment and made sure everyone around him did too. He was a proud member of many organizations, one that he was most proud of was The Knights of Columbus. He was a Fourth Degree Knight. He strongly believed and lived the by the four key principles of this brotherhood - Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Rivers, son-in-law Dan, grand children Danny and Jackie, daughter Michelle Rafalko, son Michael Kenny, grandchildren Jack and Jinna, and sisters Maureen Blaum and Dori Trainor and dear friend Patricia Reineke. All held him in the highest regard and loved him. He will live on forever in their memories and hearts but will be missed dearly.
