I only now found out about Louis’s passing. I’m heart broken. I kept googling hoping what i was reading was wrong! We first met many years ago when I lived in Manhattan and we were always going to meet up again and messaged right through the pandemic up to a few month before about getting together after “ COVID”died down. He was first a dear friend, and then also a banking customer of mine. Always kind. Always checking in on me as i would him. I only just found out this morning because I’ve been trying to contact him, and even though its been 8 months already, I’m just heart broken. My condolences to his children and family. God bless you.

Eric and I were so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. We have so many good memories of celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and just plain good times at the Brandywine.

I was saddened to hear about Lou's passing. Just spoke to him the Thursday before he died. I called him once a week to see how he was doing, I called him, and didn't know he was in the hospital with Covid. He told me he was getting out the next day, he said he was glad he was going home, and felt great. Then I heard he passed away, I was so surprised. He was a good person and a good friend. I will miss talking to him. God Bless his family. At least now he's with his wife. May he RIP.

It is with deep sadness that we receive the news of Lou's passing. Lou has always represented the best of ASF commitment and love. He has been there for all of us through the years and we have missed him deeply during his long illness. We have always held out the hope for his healthy return to the team. The group of volunteers who have had the pleasure of working with Lou and all of the student lives that were touched by his sincere love will be forever enriched by his Memory. While we all considered ourselves as members of his family, we recognize the deep pain for his closest family and we reach out our arms with love and sympathy to assure you that we suffer his loss with you. He lives in our hearts as he lives in yours.
Deepest condolences, Jim Foster Family

“A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.” Lou, so many of us stand comfortable in the shade your generosity and warm spirit created. The world is a better place because you were in it and you will be so very missed. Thank you Lou thank you so much.

Lou was a great humanitarian. He never turned down a cause or fund raiser. I remember him hosting the Wounded Warriors as well as contributing food to other fund raisers/causes. When my son was 14 we stopped by to ask Lou for a job as a bus boy. He wasn't hiring but by the time we got home the phone was ringing and he changed his mind. My son worked there from 14 to 21 and was able to buy a car and help pay for his college. Lou hired many local kids he saw potential in and helped give them a work ethic. He was an active member at St. Theresa's, a Grand Knight I believe and I loved to see the pagentry. The K of C hosted many dinners with Lou at the helm. He was a gentleman, a great chef, great host and friend to all. He was very kind and his restaurant was the go to place for celebrations as well as sad occasions. He leaves a great legacy to his children and he will be sorely missed.
