Obituary of Raymond H Osborn Jr
Raymond ‘Bud’ ‘Pop’ Osborn Jr., 87, of Hensonville, New York passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday October 28, 2021. He was born on April 27, 1934 to Raymond Sr. and Zada (Brandow) Osborn.. He married his loving wife Lorraine on February 15, 1955. Raymond retired after many years driving truck and operating machinery from Carman Trucking, Peckham Industries, as well as several mountain top companies. Pop was a dedicated member of the Hensonville Hose Company for 63 years as well as a member of the Greene County Firemen's Association for 50 years. He was always proud of his children Timmy, Tommy and Tammy for all of their accomplishments. Truck driver, Operator, Fireman and Father were some of his favorite roles but nothing topped the love he had for his job as Grandfather and Antique Grandpa. You could always count on him telling a story about his grandchildren or his great grandchildren and how proud he was of each one of them. Bud could light up a room with his smile and was a loving man that you could always guarantee a laugh from, even if it was at your expense.
Raymond is survived by his best friend Glenda Montanta, two of his children Timothy (Janet, wife) Osborn and Thomas (Amelia, wife) Osborn, son-in-law Mark Robinson along with six grandchildren Waylon (Jennifer, wife) Robinson, Glenn (Elizabeth, wife) Robinson, Charlotte Osborn, Amanda (Cory, husband) Young, Nicole Osborn, Bridget (Robert, husband) Watson. As well as six great grandchildren Mason, Kinsley, Bailee, Karter, Emily and Timothy. He was also survived by many nieces.
Raymond is predeceased by his wife Lorraine (Carl) Osborn, daughter Tammy (Osborn) Robinson and his three sisters.
As Raymond wished, and with the family honoring this wish, there will be no calling hours and a private family graveside service. Donations may be made in his name to The Lexington-Westkill United Methodist Church (P.O. Box 95 Lexington, NY 12452) or The Hensonville Hose Company (P.O. Box 297 Hensonville, NY 12439).
