Obituary of Sharyn K. Davis

Sharyn Davis (née Kavanagh) died on July 27, 2021 in Albany, NY at the age of 76.

Sharyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law (Dawn and Kevin Flensted), her two grandchildren (Bryant and Trevor Flensted) and her daughter-in-law (Lisa Yezzi Davis). She is preceded in death by he husband (Glynn Davis), her son (Edward Davis), her parents (Margaret and Edward Kavanagh) and her siblings (Edward Kavanagh, Kevin Kavanagh and Judith Kavanagh Lentz).

Sharyn was born on November 28, 1944 in New York City, NY. to Margaret and Edward Kavanagh. She married Glynn Davis in April 1964 and settled in Windham, NY to raise her family. She is remembered as a kind, loving mother and grandmother who encouraged them to work hard and pursue their goals.

Sharyn moved to Beverwyck Senior Living Community in Slingerlands in 2014 where she remained after her husband passed away until her death. She enjoyed her time there with the many dear friends she made.

A wake/viewing is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9:00 - 10:45 at Decker’s Funeral Home in Windham, NY. A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, July 31, 2021 at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Windham, NY, with a reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society, the Knights of the Road in Windham or a charity of your choice.
