Obituary of Evelyn Judith O'Shea

Evelyn Judith O’Shea, age 86, of Jewett NY and Callawassie Island SC, died peacefully on July 8th, 2021.  Judy will be missed by her husband Ed of 66 years and her six children, seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Judy was born on November 27, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late John and Helen Kenny. Judy spent a great part of her life with her husband raising their children in Setauket, NY.  She is survived by her children, Nancy O’Shea, Kevin O’Shea (Susan), Megan Megale (Larry), Maura Fletcher (David), Kathleen Paesano (Michael) and Chris O’Shea (Ashby).  She was happiest around her grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Kyler, Kate, Margaret, Kelley, Matthew, Shea, Annie, William, Madeline, Charles, Sophia, Mary, Isabella, Sawyer and Sullivan and proud to be a great grandmother to Michaela and Emma.

Judy lit up a room.  She was full of energy and had a zest for life.  She loved to play the piano and dance and had many friends.  She loved to play cards and any game she came across.  She took such pride in her surroundings and made every house they lived in a special home. 

There will be a memorial Mass said for Judy at 11:00AM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton, NY.
