Obituary of Elsie Myers

ASHLAND, NY -- Elsie M. (Hulbert) Myers passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2021 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.  She was born January 5, 1936 to Wilson and Marian (Cleveland) Hulbert in Broome, NY. 

Elsie married Raymond E. Myers on March 2, 1957. The lived in Ashland, NY.  Raymond predeceased her January 31, 2008. 

Elsie was a hard worker giving care to the elderly in her mother-in-law’s rest home in the 1960’s.  She then worked for USPS for over 40 years, serving as  Postmaster in Grand Gorge and Ashland.  She was a devoted member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Grand Gorge. 

Elsie is survived by her children:  Deborah Myers of Troy, NY and Paul & Tami Myers of Concord, NC.  Her grandchildren: Shyanne, Paul & Matthew of Concord, NC.  Also surviving are her brothers Kenneth Hulbert, Middleburg and Philip Hulbert, Roxbury, and many nieces and nephews.

Elsie was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her brother Leland.

The family would like to thank Melvina for her excellent care of Elsie these last years.  Your kindness will never be forgotten!

Graveside Service and Interment will be held in the Spring at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland at the family’s convenience.
