Prattsville – Carole Ann Sutton, 77, born on April 6, 1942, of Prattsville passed away surrounded by family on February 22, 2020 following a long battle with illness.
Carole was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Herman Jaeger Jr., her husband, Stanley Sutton, his parents, Madeline and William Sutton; and her siblings and in-laws; Joan Gonzalez, Herman and Linda Jaeger, Karl Jaeger, James Jaeger, Linda and William Hoagland, Walter Rion, Robert Kenneally and companion and friend, Joao Paes.
She is survived by her two sisters; Barbara Rion and DeborahKenneally and her children; Stanley (Marygail) Sutton, Terri (David) Gockel, Susan (Stephen) VanValin, Becky (David) Hoyt, and Joanne (Steve) Smith along with 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and her well-loved fur friends Jack and Sassy.
She enjoyed life with her family. She loved to follow her grandchildren at sporting events, planting flowers, decorating, eating desserts, reading, lawn care, puzzles, and playing competitive games. She especially enjoyed spending time in the Thousand Island area on the St. Lawrence River watching the sunsets with her friend and companion, Bill Briggs.
A gathering with the family has been scheduled at the Prattsville Community Church on Monday, February 24, 2020, from 4-6:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
