A remembrance:
I know Larry through work where Larry was the essential gentlemen, not signifying a man born to privilege but a gentle man, gentle in speech and action, and careful of people's feelings when disagreement was called for- a working class hero in my book. Always anxious to help with work both as a civil servant, a protector of the environment and purveyor and defender of common sense. Other times he was helpful just to make a co-worker's job easier. He had a reputation as a hoarder- but this was mostly just jealousy- whatever old widget you needed Larry usually had in the shop...
Anyway, I kick myself for not getting a tour of his garden after retirement, and whenever I get a harebrained scheme at work I will continue to ask myself what would Larry have said about it.
I missed the memorial to take my 94 year old dad to the dentist. Larry would 've liked that and I only wish he'd been blessed with that longevity.
Safe travels, brother.

Will miss Larry's cheery welcome on Sunday mornings, making you feel that he was genuinely happy to see you and interested in what was going on in your life. I so appreciated his desire to give an encouraging word by sharing a Scripture that came to mind at the end of Sunday School, always wanting us to focus on our hope in Christ.

Mr. Moore was a generous, fun, and loving friend. He transcended age and treated everyone with respect. I have enjoyed conversations with him at church. He always made me feel welcome with his warm smile and handshake. I truly cherished his kindness. Mr. Moore has driven me to the train station, served me dinner, and he and his wife would let me hangout at their house to play games late into the evening with my close friend, Kyle.
I mourn his passing, but rejoice in his Homecoming. Moore family I’ll be praying for you.

Larry blessed me and my family in many ways over the years. From my teen years until most recently at my brother Joel’s wedding, I always perceived his kindness and authenticity. He took the time to connect with others. His love will continue in those he impacted, and I trust that he is at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
