Obituary of Olivia Ursula Soltan Giordano

Forever Remembered

Olivia Giordano

04/26/1981-12/09/2023

Olivia Giordano (nee Soltan), 42, of Gilboa, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She is survived by her husband Rob, stepchildren Rob and Nick, parents Ursula and Mark Soltan, her half brother Michal Soltan, three godchildren, too many close friends to count, the Windham community, and her furchildren, dogs/cats Emma, Kitty, Mavis, Gia, her chicken, Nunzio, and eight hens. She will rest peacefully with her fur child, Lucy, by her side.

Olivia’s life is an amazing story that exemplifies the American dream. She was born in the US on April 26, 1981, and was raised in both the US and Poland, where her family lived under Communism. She was closely connected to her Polish culture throughout her life, and learned early on that education was her ticket to prosperity. She and her family eventually moved to Queens in New York City, where she excelled at St. Francis Prep School and Pace University. She quickly found a home in the corporate banking world. After navigating the banking world for 18 years, she landed what would become her dream job at The Bank of Greene County, where she loved her role as a manager. Olivia would go on to marry the love of her life Rob in June 2022, open her first business venture, Olivia’s Wine and Spirits, in Windham, passionately followed by her second venture, Or Not LLC. Olivia wanted to experience everything this life had to offer. She worked hard, played hard, traveled hard, loved hard, and in her own words, she “went out on top.”

Her funeral will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 12-2 p.m. at Decker Funeral Home, 5312 Route 23, in Windham. All are later invited to Millrock Restaurant, 5398 Route 23, in Windham, from 2 p.m. on to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the animal shelter of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
