William “Bill” H Ticho, 96, of Windham NY, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026.

Bill was born in 1930 in Manhattan to William and Grace (Nichols) Ticho and raised in the Bronx. He spent his youth with two younger sisters, Patricia, and Grace, exploring the lakes, streams, and woods every summer in the Catskill Mountains with loving grandparents, family, and lots of dear friends. He always said life was perfect then… simple and loving.

After proudly serving his country with the U.S. Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953, Bill attended Fordham University and graduated earning a bachelor’s degree in business.

 A long career in the perfume/cosmetic industry served him well. He retired in 1997 from Christian Dior Perfume Inc. as a sales executive.

 Bill married his wife Nancy in 1972 at the age of 42- everyone thought he would be a perpetual bachelor - Life is an adventure! They moved to New Jersey and raised 2 wonderful boys. Bill was so very proud of all of their accomplishments and loved being a Dad.

 Finding joy in life came easily to Bill with lots of golf, skiing, and NY Giants as a season ticket holder, avid reader (especially history), and loved politics. And let's not forget the many cats he loved over the years, special one being Mr. Mulligan, a stray Maine Coon- his pal.

 Bill is survived by his wife Nancy (St. Laurent), son Billy, wife Michele, grandchildren Mackenzie and son Robert, wife Amanda and grand girls Ella and Mya, sister Grace Maurer and many nieces and nephews, great ones and great- great ones as well.

He was predeceased in death by his sister Patricia Simmons, brother-in-law Alan Maurer and niece Jane Simmons.

 A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Theresa’s church and a burial will be held at a later date.

 Bill was a true Irishman known for his dry sense of humor, wisdom and unwavering love to his family, friends, and his Catholic faith.

 He will be missed- a life well spent.
