Michael Catalano Obituary

Michael Joseph Catalano, affectionately known as Mongo to almost everyone, was born on August 26, 1976, in Staten Island, New York, to his mother, Anna Catalano. He attended New Dorp High School. Throughout his life, Michael held various jobs, including delivering and making pizzas, as well as owning his own painting business. However, his greatest joy was being a father to his five surviving children  Alexis, Adrianna, Makayla, Michael Jr, and Salvatore along with is Grandson Jackson.


He is also survived by his mother, Anna Catalano; his stepfather, Robert Stockert; his brother, Richard Colon; and his sisters, Christine and Tanya Colon; his sister-in-law, Leeann Dawson; and many nieces and nephews.


Michael was predeceased by his grandmother, Angelina Catalano, who raised him and his stepfather, Arthur Colon, who also played a significant role in his upbringing.


Michael possessed a generous heart and was known for his kindness and willingness to help others. He was a huge New York Giants fan and he made it very clear how much he disliked the Dallas Cow "Girls".


His  family has decided to hold a celebration of life at a later date.
