I stepped into the Martin house a stranger and within minutes felt like I was part of the family.
Gerry was so genuinely welcoming and gracious.
I think we bonded over her well meaning and hilarious barbs towards my friend that brought me there , for his political views. It’s not often that I have had the privilege to meet such people and Gerry was one of the best. And don’t get me started about her cooking. I still make her salmon recipe and it’s always a hit.
My condolences to Tom and all the family .
