Obituary of Steven Georgiadis
Steven Georgiadis, born August 27, 1960, in Drama, Greece, and raised in Astoria, New York, is remembered for a life defined by strength, generosity, and unwavering love.
A graduate of LaGuardia Community College, he was a hardworking and dedicated businessman who proudly owned and managed a real estate property in the heart of Astoria and ran a construction company, pouring countless hours, skill, and determination into his work. His strong work ethic and commitment to building and providing for his family were at the core of who he was.
Steven found comfort in nature and had a lifelong passion for hunting, where he felt most at peace. He also had a deep, lifelong love for bids, and for many years he dedicated himself to breeding and caring for them with patience, tenderness, and remarkable devotion.
Spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys; he took pride in watching his grandchildren grow, finding joy in their personalities, accomplishments, and milestones. Being present in their lives was one of his highest honors.
Steven was a remarkable man whose strength, generosity, and unwavering love touched countless lives. He was a force of nature—bold, selfless, and always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He never hesitated to help a stranger, even if it meant putting others before himself. Behind his tough exterior was a heart full of warmth and loyalty.
Steven lived for his family, and nothing brought him more joy than watching his grandchildren grow. He treasured every moment with them—whether it was taking peaceful walks outdoors, sharing laughter, or simply spending time together. These simple, cherished moments defined him. Generosity came naturally to Steven; even in times when he had little, he always found a way to give—sharing what he could, offering support, or showing kindness in ways big and small. His heart was expansive, his spirit strong, and his presence unforgettable.
Steven leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and selfless giving. He will be forever missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
