Obituary of David W. Robertson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David William Robertson, 64, of Prattsville, NY on February 14, 2025 at St.Peter‘s Hospice Inn after a lengthy illness. David was born on July 8, 1960 to the late Ken and Fran Robertson. David was born in Elkins Park, PA.  He graduated from Atlantic High School in 1979. David went on to get an Associates Degree in mechanics. He worked several years at the marina in Catskill, NY. He was a longtime auto mechanic and owned his own mechanic shop. Dave was a member of the Elks Club in Cario.

Dave married Doreen Schermerhorn on May 15, 1993. They have celebrated 31 years of marriage. They lived in the Cario-Durham area where they raised two children Timothy and Mikayla. They later moved to Prattsville and this is where the family grew with daughter-in-law, Kristin and Dave became a grandfather to Koden Lamoreau Robertson. Dave loved the ocean. He was a full-fledged member of the Internet where he download several movies to watch.

David is survived by his wife Doreen; his son and daughter-in-law Tim and Kristin and his daughter Mikayla; his grandson Koden;  his two brothers Kenneth Robertson and Donald Robertson; his sister Sue Robertson; his sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Dan Martin; sister-in-law Joan Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceasded by his brother Richard Robertson, his in-laws Charles and Marian Schermerhorn; and his brother-in-law George Martin.

There will not be a service or celebration of life as the family is respecting David‘s wishes.The family would like to thank Ashland Rescue Ambulance for their excellent service and excellent support.
